It seems like forever ago that I last wrote my first entry. Okay, so it's been nearly four months now! My bad! =] But, time for an update....
Nothing exciting has been going on though. Life is what it is, day in and day out. Work is the same. Home life, well, that's another story, but I'm dealing.
I started coaching Jaidyn's soccer team back at the beginning of April. We are now done with the spring session, but start the summer session Saturday. I am really enjoying coaching, although half of the girls don't listen or are only there because their parents want them to try it. I do wish my Jaidyn would toughen up, but hopefully she'll learn in time. She is SUCH a princess, so it seems a bit weird to have her on the soccer field! She does well until she gets pushed or she falls - which is part of the game and she just needs to learn that. She did score a couple of weeks ago. I jumped up and down on the field like an irresponsible coach would, but I was a parent at that moment in time and very proud of her scoring! Granted, it happened because she did finally follow through on the ball like I told her time and time again to do; and granted, she cried afterwards because she got the wind knocked out of her; but all the same, she was a proud girl, and I a very proud mama. =]
Rylie tried gymnastics out for a few months. It wasn't her cup of tea. It was hell trying to get her to go to class. Don't get me wrong, she enjoyed it when I finally got her to class; but it's starting to get nicer outside and I knew it would just become more and more of a hassle. So, I told them she was done. Now she wants to try soccer, but we're gonna wait until the fall to give that a shot, mostly because it's too late to register now. She loves to go out on the field during the breaks at the games and it's cute to watch her run around out there. Makes me just keep missing soccer even more (coaching & watching the girls play)!
Other than work and keeping up with the girls, nothing really exciting has taken place. No new news. I secretly hope I can keep up on this blog more often, but I'm afraid that my simple life just doesn't have anything exciting happening in it right at the moment.
It is getting beautiful outside...makes it hard to be indoors in an office. I'd much rather be out playing soccer or playing golf or going to the zoo with my girls; but I guess I have to support myself somehow! lol!
Gonna go back to surfing the net for a while. Maybe I can find some interesting information somewhere out there......
